If you have been keeping up with Graduate Fashion Week 2021, you can now watch our size? x Converse Panel Talk here. While we cannot attend, there is loads of streamed content to make you feel like you are there in the flesh. If you want some more context, you can scroll down and read about our special guest and host.

We teamed up with Converse to speak with the founder & creative director of the fashion label Labrum London, Foday Dumbuya. Since founding his label in 2015, Foday has made his mark on the industry, making his way onto the Converse ‘All Stars’ team as a top contributor. Growing up in Sierra Leone, Foday used his strong West African roots and a love for British tailoring to build the foundations for Labrum. With this structure, he was able to envisage a wider ambition to connect western styles with West African culture.

You can now check out what he had to say on the topic “Why it’s important for brands & businesses to support the next generation of young creatives”. The chat is also hosted by the man himself, Charlie Dark, the founder of the Run Dem Crew.

Charlie started the Run Dem Crew in 2007, with the perspective that running groups didn’t need to be all about the run itself. The sense of belonging and exercising together as a community is a more important core value. Now, well renowned by the youth of East London, the Crew provides opportunities to the youngers to explore the city in exciting new ways to keep reinvigorated. A man of many talents, Charlie is a DJ, poet and youth mentor but for this week he turns to presenter duties.
