2020 has seen us collaborate with some of the most renowned brands out there to celebrate our 20th anniversary, and our latest project with Clarks Originals is certainly one of our most special. It’s our first-ever collaboration with the brand, and what better way is there to kick things off other than applying our signature palette to one of the greatest shoes in their roster, the Desert Trek.
First landing in the 1970s, Clarks’ Desert Trek has been an icon ever since its introduction thanks to its unique design and distinctive central stitched seam. Only a select few labels and retailers have been given the chance to work upon the iconic silhouette, and we feel truly honoured to do so.
We’ve approached the model with a design influence that we’ve used on a few other projects this year, and that’s painting the pair’s suede upper in the same orange and black hues that have become synonymous with size?, using a colour-blocked approach to inject a touch of energy into the 1970s model.
We’ve also served up a size?-inspired spin to the shoe’s signature Trek Man heel branding, infusing our trademark ‘?’ emblem within it. On the underside, we’ve kept things traditional with Clarks’ signature crepe rubber sole unit in place to cushion your every stride.
