The Air Jordan XI is undoubtedly one of the brand’s most popular silhouettes. It’s simplistic design, sporadic releases and loveable colourways have made it an enduring hit down the years, and this season, it returns in a ‘Platinum Tint’ colour scheme. We’ll go through all its tasty details shortly, but first, a little about the shoe’s history.

Heading up Jordan XI’s design process was Tinker Hatfield yet again. The iconic silhouette, which was the first of its kind to incorporate patent leather, took its inspiration from a yellow lawn mower and a convertible. After catching wind of this, people knew it was going to something very different from its predecessors, and its hype was heightened even more when it featured in the 90’s blockbuster ‘Space Jam’.

The 1996 sneaker is welcomed back this season in the all-new ‘Platinum Tint’ colourway. The silhouette does away with the signature patent leather on the mudguard, instead ‘Sail’ hues dress the shoe’s smooth uppers, with pops of ‘University Red’ featuring to the piping and Jumpman branding. Underfoot, an opaque white midsole blends seamlessly with the shoe’s uppers, and Air technology is encased within to provide you with supreme levels of cushioning.

The Air Jordan XI QS ‘Platinum Tint’ will be available on the size? previews app and in selected size? stores on Saturday 17th November, priced at £170, available in women’s sizes only.
