adidas Originals EQT Cushion ADV

After introducing the latest updates to their seminal Equipment Collection at the beginning of the year, we’ve seen the range evolve to suit the modern day wearer whilst still maintaining the core ethics of EQT. The latest shape to see an overhaul is the EQT Cushion, with the new version debuting in a core two-tone colourway to set a foundation for future releases to build from.

In 1991 a new sub-label of adidas was born, designed to cater specifically to the athlete, and ensure their needs were met with the correct apparatus. Enter, the birth of the adidas Equipment line. Designer Peter Moore’s aim with the range was not to merely create the most expensive or most technical, but purely the best performing to serve the users requirements. ‘Equipment’ was a word that sounded like it meant business, you didn’t just ‘play’ with Equipment, you ‘used’ it. These were tools of sorts so this needed to be represented through its brand identity.

The EQT Cushion ADV sits alongside other new incarnations of classic silhouettes from the line; we saw the EQT Running ADV make an appearance towards the start of this year, and I’m sure we can expect to see new variations further down the timeline. Presented in a full Primeknit upper, the sleek profile of the Cushion ADV is reminiscent of some of the greatest technical runners to come out of the brand throughout the 90’s, albeit with a modern twist.

The adidas Originals EQT Cushion ADV will be available online and in all size? stores on Thursday 7h September, priced at £110.
