RECAP: Crepe City 8, London

With a bigger venue compared to any other event of its kind in the UK, the latest instalment in the Crepe City takeover brought us to the bustling corner of London’s East End, and the two large rooms hidden underneath the famed Truman Brewery.

As noon slowly approached, the doors opened up and the long queues started to quickly find their way to all 50+ stalls, stocking some of the rarest models to date. With over a thousand footwear-hungry attendees searching stalls provided by Tapis Rouge, Playdot Apparel, Hekstyle, Small Feet Big Kicks and Strictly Sneakers to name just a few, there was sure to be a lot of checklists ticked off.

If the footwear selection wasn’t enough, we were given access to some of the best custom clothing collections to be seen in the UK at the moment, numerous amounts of hand-drawn and illustrated artworks, and finally streetwear-inspired tattoos supplied by Hammersmith Tattoos. With a little help from Kish Kash and the Sole Heaven crew, this turned out to be one of the best events that Crepe City have put on and we can’t wait until the next one.
