Nike MAG unveiled – “IT’S ABOUT TIME”

Yesterday we helped build the hype around potentially one of the biggest releases in footwear history, and today we can reveal that all the rumours were indeed true, Nike has released the MAG, Marty McFly’s signature shoe from 1989’s Back To The Future.

The official announcement was made last night by Nike’s head design honcho, Tinker Hatfield, and CEO, Mark Parker, at the exclusive – invite only, “IT’S ABOUT TIME” event. In total, 1,500 pairs of the MAG have been produced and all are being auctioned on ebay with all net proceeds going directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation to help achieve the ultimate goal of a future without Parkinson’s disease. The auction, which will see 150 pairs released per day for the next 10 days, started last night at 8.30pm PST (half past midnight here), with the final 150 pairs going on sale on 18th September.
