New Balance’s current lifestyle output takes classic running styles from their extensive back catalogue, and reinterprets them for the modern day consumer. Renowned for producing footwear designed with comfort in mind, this latest release is no different. The latest womens 996 pack focuses on the use of premium leathers across the board, overhauling the original suede and mesh combinations of the 90’s in place of materials that channel the worlds of high fashion.

Both the black and white versions follow the same style of colour application, taking a block-coloured upper and sitting it on top of a clean white midsole. The veg-tan inspired version plays into the current trend of using the luxurious material within sports footwear, and is finished off with a white outline around the synonymous ‘N’ branding, a white sockliner and off white outsole.
