We could have started off this article with a rather tongue-in-cheek ‘Wey-aye man’ introduction, but let’s just get straight to the point: we’ve opened a brand new size? store in Newcastle city centre.

While we’ve always had a presence in the North East – with stores in Gateshead’s MetroCentre and down the coast in Middlesbrough – this is the first time we’re opening our doors in the heart of the Toon, and we can’t wait for you to visit.

Situated on 130 Grainer St, NE1 5AF and designed in collaboration with famed London based design consultancy, Brinkworth, our all-new location draws influence from Newcastle’s rich industrial origins. Steel tube shelves, plinths and rails hark back to the city’s ironwork and ship-building heritage and provide a unique aesthetic in the centre of Newcastle’s busy ‘Grainger Town’ district.

We are quite partial to a sculpture in our stores, and we couldn’t resist placing a huge nut and bolt as a centrepiece – a nice final nod to the city’s industrial past.
