size? captures: Creators Series – How to customise Air Force 1s with @prettyiecustoms
There’s no denying that Nike’s Air Force 1 is one of the most popular silhouettes of all time; now more so than ever. So to ensure your pair stands out from the rest, we’ve caught up with @prettyiecustoms for an Air Force 1 customisation class.
What you’ll need
Leather paints
Paintbrush
Masking tape (optional)
Angelus matte sealer
Nail polish remover
Cotton wool
Step 1:
Remove the laces from the shoes.
Pour some nail polish remover on the cotton wool and rub across the pair’s leather uppers.
Step 2:
Mix the paints and start to paint each panel layer by layer.
If needed, use masking tape to keep your desired areas free from paint.
Step 3:
Apply several layers of paint until you have a smooth, clean colour-block.
Step 4:
Repeat the previous two steps with your second colour option.
Step 5:
Apply the finishing touches. For example, little touch-ups anywhere that need more paint or need some extra work done.
Once finished, seal the paint-job with Angelus Matte Sealer to protect your masterpiece and ensure the paint lasts when you’re wearing them.
