A look back at our Nike Air Max Light ‘Easter Edition’ – ?exclusive
Chocolate in abundance can only mean one thing, Easter 2023 is fast approaching and what better way to celebrate this cracking time than looking back at one of our worldwide ?exclusives.
Originally released in 1989, the Air Max Light served as an interlude between the Air Max 1 and its older sibling Air Max 90. Giving this silhouette some much-deserved attention, we put it back on the shelves opting for similar aesthetics to the original model but this time around drawing inspiration from Spring from when they were released.
The aptly named Nike Air Max Light ‘Easter Edition’ pack was much more subtle in its approach to storytelling. Dropping in April 2012 and classically associated with the chocolate-filled time of the year, the silhouettes were painted up in a similar fashion to the OG’s with sky blue and purple hues applied to the premium uppers.
Displaying a mixture of premium quality leather suede and mesh, along with the famous thermo-plastic panelling around the toe, the two ‘89 models have classic Swooshing signaling Beaverton heritage. Those renowned visible Air units and rubber-coated outsoles supply a functional sign-off.
