New Balance 878 – a size? Exclusive

Share This:

For our latest size? Exclusive with New Balance, we’ve taken an artistic approach on NB’s ‘90s 878. Inspired by a seminal technique, our shoot showcases the exclusive shoe in a collaged effect made famous during the ’80s.

‘Joiners’ was a style of intricate collage photography made known in the very early ‘80s. In its formative years, collages were made up of grid-like compositions consisting of polaroid photos. Later, the style switched to photo lab-processed 35mm photographs and the collages then started to form a shape of their own. The mix up of exposures of the individual photos that made up each collage gave each piece of work a fluid aesthetic that had never been seen before.

Taking note, the shots we took for our rendition of the 878 sport a collage-like aesthetic reminiscent of ‘joiners’. From the pictures, you can see the shoe itself is popping with colour, with splashes of blue, forest green, yellow, grey and salmon sweeping across the shoe’s leather and mesh uppers. Embroidered branding decorates the sidewall and tongue in classic fashion, and underfoot, NB’s ABZORB midsole support and cushions the soles of your feet. Anyway, that’s enough out of me – take a look at the pictures below to look at the 878’s in all their glory…

The size? Exclusive New Balance 878 is now sold out.
