Nike Air Max ‘Sunset’ collection
With summer just around the corner, Nike has timed the announcement of their latest pack perfectly. Presented across the recently popular Air Max Engineered Mesh series, the Sunset collection hints back to yesteryear, with a colourway that can be loosely linked to the 1983 Omega Flame silhouette, whilst still pushing boundaries.
The usual Air Max 1, 90, 95 and 97 models are all present with their technical uppers being stripped back and a clean Engineered Mesh upper applied. Featuring bold sunset inspired tones against solid black accents throughout, the selection incorporates the same seamless EM construction as recent releases, creating a blank canvas that allows the entire colour palette to immediately jump out.
All 5 styles are instantly recognisable with the contrasting mudguard panelling, but it has to be the Air Max 97 that has attracted our attention from this pack. This characteristic silhouette hasn’t had many modern colourways compared to the big hitters, such as the AM1 or 90, but with the help of a brightl and very minimal upper, the once mechanical upper has now been given a fresh breath of air.
The Nike Air Max EM ‘Sunset’ collection is set to release at the start of June, with the exception of the Air Max 1, which will be landing mid-June, priced between £97 – 130.
