Puma Bluebird
Originally released in 1982, the Puma Bluebird is soon to become the latest reissue from the extensive Puma Archive.
Initially intended as a lightweight running shoe, the Bluebird was soon adopted into terrace culture, particularly by Cardiff City FC’s Soul Crew who, because of it’s distinctive blue/yellow colourway and reference to the clubs nickname (The Bluebirds), helped it become a staple part of life on the terraces of Ninian Park in the early 1980’s.
The original silhouette was constructed of a suede upper on a natural colour injected/moulded PVC sole unit, and although the suede is very slightly lighter in colour on the reissue and the laces a little wider, we think Puma have hit the nail on the head with this one!
To celebrate this much anticipated re-release, the shoe will be exclusively available our Cardiff store alongside a capsule collection of matching apparel on Saturday 13th August.
In the meantime, check below for a sneak peek of some of the collection and back here soon for further imagery and info about the launch.
