Hitting 10 years of doing anything is a massive achievement, so after a decade of trade we decided to celebrate in the biggest way possible. Over the course of 12 months, we collaborated with some of our favourite brands on a series of limited releases which we’re still really proud of to this day. Together with Nike we teamed up and created ’10 Years of Obsession’, a collection that channelled some of our favourite Nike shoes from the past 10 years. Releases like the Blazer featured our own iconic black, white and orange insignia, while others reimagined recognisable colourways on modern-day silhouettes. 

We’ve always been huge fans of classic running shoes, and all-terrain outdoor products, which were designed with function at their core, but now host a cult-like following 30 years down the line.

The series boasted the Air Mariah, Lunar Racer, Blazer Mid, Lunar 18 and Air Stab. The two Lunar 180 releases – which were designed for different types of terrain – featured two colourways from the world of running. The first took the palette from 1991’s Air Huarache ‘Scream Green’: the original and most recognisable of all foot-hugging renditions, we transferred the vibrant green and blue combination from the neoprene booty and placed it onto the newly developed ‘Torch’ mesh sections of the Lunar 180. As the name suggests, the midsole tooling underwent a transformation (with size? being the first to debut it) with the addition of Nike’s new Lunarlon cushioning system. Comprised of several layers of foam, its lived on in many of Nike greatest running shoes since.

The second colourway paid homage to the ACG Air Terra – an outdoor trail runner known for its eccentric pullover button-down tongue. It’s a shoe that sadly hasn’t seen a reissue for many years, so to pay tribute we flipped the colour over onto a second Air 180. 

Working together on the creative aspect with design agency Rosie Lee, we retailored Ralph Steadman’s illustration produced for the release of the first Air 180 back in 1990, switching the colours out to that of the Terra and replacing the footwear with our very own release.
