The PUMA Mostro has always been its own beast. Initially introduced back in 1999, PUMA’s daring hybrid model set the tone for the upcoming millennium with its boldly futuristic vision which captured the speculative essence of a rapidly approaching new age.

Fusing key principles from spiked ‘60s sprint footwear and ‘80s surf shoe concepts in order to forge the PUMA Mostro 一 which derives its name from the Italian word for ‘monster’ 一 the ambitious design was only ever projected to sell 10,000 units. It surpassed 1.2 million in the years that followed.

Closing 2024 in forward-looking fashion, PUMA’s outlandish feat has made a camouflaged comeback in two different colourways. The upper is constructed from textile-lined mesh, while hook-and-loop straps offer up a snug, locked-in feel. Underfoot, OrthoLite cushioning sits atop the experimental spiked rubber outsole that guarantees thorny grip on a plethora of both urban and rural terrain.
