Your ASICS size guide
It all started in 1945 in Kobe, Japan with Kihachiro Onitsuka and his idea that sport can improve people’s mental and physical health. Since then, ASICS has gone from making octopus-inspired basketball shoes in the 1950s to becoming one of the main powerhouses in the lifestyle and sportswear spaces. Onitsuka founded the label on the core belief in the positive benefits that movement has on the mind, body and soul, which is where the name comes from ‘Anima Sana In Corpore Sano’ – or ‘sound mind in a sound body’ if you don’t speak Latin.
Today, ASICS is known for cutting-edge designs, coveted collaborations and honestly, pure comfort. The SportStyle range draws inspiration from performance running silhouettes and transforms them into the contemporary streetwear we know and love – think the GEL-NYC, GEL-KAYANO and the GT-2160.
Are ASICS true to size?
No changes are needed here from your usual shopping habits as ASICS do run true to size, however, the brand recommends when choosing running silhouettes to size up half a size. With human-tested designs, ASICS prides itself on providing the best underfoot experience for everyone.
Do ASICS do half sizes?
Good news, ASICS has your back if you’re in between and offers a full range of sizes in men’s and women’s trainers.
