As what’s old is often reborn, Nike’s classic and vintage shoes have seen a resurgence, and Luis Miguel Lozano is at the forefront, sharing stories with a new wave of fans. His knack for highlighting retro runners has made him one of Spain’s most influential and admired collectors, inspiring a new generation with his love for vintage Nike treasures.

From “a passion came a virus, and I’m still infected.” Luis, known as Jumi in the sneaker world, picked up the collecting bug when he was just a kid. Now, 25 years later, his notable collection boasts 2000 pairs heavily influenced by the nostalgia of retro models from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Luis’ journey into collecting was ignited by a pair of 80s Air Jordan 1 ‘White/Metallic Blue’. His long-standing admiration for Nike stems from their innovative designs, which he felt were “ahead of their time”. His collection highlights include a ’72 Marathon made in Japan, a pristine condition Air Max 1 from ’88, and a two-tone green Waffle Runner from 1980 – it’s all in the retro runner details for Luis.
