As the year draws to a close, we have 2023’s final size? Previews episode for you! Luke and Binns take us through the latest selection of ?exclusives that are going to make you excited about stepping into the new year. This is an adidas-centric episode, with the Amsterdam and Handball Spezial LT making an appearance, along with the SL 72 RS. So sit back, relax and enjoy what’s in store for you.

adidas Originals Handball Spezial LT – ?exclusive

To kick things off, we have something a little different for you – and we’re really excited about it. These Handball Spezials take influence from retro football boots, which you’ll notice in the extended tongue – a trend that is taking flight going into 2024. An unexpected mix of textiles on the upper gives this render of workwear-inspired aesthetic. The beauty with this material choice is the more you wear them, the better they get as unique patinas set in, formed from daily wear and tear. By removing the branding from the sidewalls and adding subtle elements, like classic Handball branding under the tongue, make these designs really special.

adidas Originals SL 72 RS – ?exclusive

Next we have the SL 72, but something slightly different to what you may have seen before. For this ?exclusive we drew inspiration from vintage photos taken of figures having a kick around in the park, aiming to bring this to life through retro colourways – bridging time and space from 1972 to 2024. From this remastered version we see a chunkier side to the shoe, that’s not been seen before, making it easier to wear than what you might be used to with more comfort for all-day wear. 

adidas Originals Amsterdam – ?exclusive

Finally, we have the Amsterdam – our latest instalment from our anthology series. Following on from Malmö, we think we may have one-upped ourselves with this one. We split this iconic city into four chapters, with each of the four shoes nodding to elements that make up Amsterdam. First up, we have a fitting all-red silhouette, complete with a red gum sole – a touch we can’t get enough of. Alongside this we have an orange tone with brown detailing, as well as two blue iterations. The first is an all-blue look, while the second comes in a royal blue hue with varying gradients applied to the 3-Stripes, completed with a yellow heel tab. While we can’t say too much for now, we will say that one pair might be inspired by a particular artist who lived in the 1800s… What do you think each one in the pack represents?
