Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘UNC’
Taking you back to where the story started, this cooly-coloured iteration of the famed model honours the University of North Carolina’s Tar Heel basketball team, the college where Michael Jordan mastered his craft for three years as a freshman from 1981. Up top, ‘Sail White’, ‘Obsidian’ and ‘University Blue’ leather builds the pair, with signature Swoosh branding sitting on the sidewall. The standard details remain underfoot: an encapsulated Air midsole delivers supreme levels of cushioning, coupled with a rubber outsole for firm traction on and off the hardwood.
Air Jordan 1 ‘Shattered Backboard 3.0’
Here we see the return of a familiar colourway which pays tribute to Michael Jordan’s backboard-shattering dunk during an exhibition game in Trieste, Italy. Throughout the game Jordan wore a jersey with orange and black detailing, and it’s these hues that inspire the third ‘Shattered Backboard’ iteration. Up top, the silhouette sports a soft, pre-creased patent leather built to give off an uneven shattered glass effect. Sitting underfoot, the usual encapsulated Air midsole provides you with plush cushioning, and a rubber outsole stops you from slipping on and off the court.
Air Jordan 12 ‘Stealth’
The Air Jordan 12 burst onto the scene in 1996, with this twelfth Air Jordan iteration designed by Tinker Hatfield and most famously worn by Michael Jordan during his ‘Flu Game’ win against the Utah Jazz in ’97. The Air Jordan 12 ‘Stealth’ delivers tumbled leather on the upper with a crisp, clean colour blocking. Laces finished with metal eyelets up top keep the foot securely locked in, whilst the tongue and midsole pay homage to Michael Jordan with the Jumpman and ‘Two 3’ lettering. Zoom Air tech in the heel provides unparalleled cushion and bounce, and a rubber outsole rounds it all off with courts-ready traction.
Air Jordan 4 Golf ‘White Cement’
Recreating the look of the original from ’89, the ‘White Cement’ retains all the elements that made the basketball classic a success. A mesh base, leather overlays and synthetic webbing feature up top – and there’s even Air technology in the heel for supportive cushioning. However, the outsole arrives reworked with golf spikes, providing you with sure-footed grip on the green.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘85 ‘Varsity Red’
A near recreation of the Air Jordan 1 that MJ wore at the beginning of his NBA career, the high-rising ‘Varsity Red’ rendition is a love letter to nostalgia. It’s created true fanfare across the globe thanks to premium set-up and flipped two-toned upper of the iconic ‘Banned’ colourway. The tongues are signed off with logos, and toe box perforations keep the shoe ventilated. An encapsulated Air unit offers lightweight cushioning that’s been a sensation for more than a generation. Embroidered ‘Wings’ insignias that were first created in 1985 finish this one, offering a piece of history and heritage.
