It’s that time of the month again where we join Luke and Binns for the latest installment of size?previews. For the second episode of 2023, we’re doing something a little different to usual proceedings, and will be looking at some of the silhouettes loved by our hosts. It’s no secret that the past few months have been busy here at size?, so Luke and Binns retracing their steps to focus on a couple of gems from Nike, adidas Originals and Salomon that have landed in the last few weeks; or are due to land very soon.
Nike Cortez
Starting things off it’s the one, the only, Nike Cortez. This emblem of Nike design is an OG that’s been around since 1972; the very first track runner to be debuted by the brand. Today, the silhouette has ventured off the tracks and solidified its status as a sought-after grail of the sneaker world, with this trio of colourways going to prove why the shoe has fared so well over the decades. It is, quite simply, a classic.
Salomon ACS + OG
No stranger to producing trail-equipped shoes which are equally appealing as city-dwelling lifestyle shoes, Salomon deliver once more with their ACS + OG. A modern shoe that has the benefits of an Agile Chassis System and a whole host of comfort-enhancing tech too, this mesh and synthetic model is head-turning for all the right reasons.
adidas Originals Gazelle
Next up is one for fans of the 3-Stripes. There are few silhouettes on the market that hold as much brand identity, as the adidas Originals Gazelle. Famously popularised on the terraces and firmly imbedded in football culture and everyday rotations alike, this suede-readied duo of purple and black boast the quintessential design which simply doesn’t age.
Nike Terminator High
Now, when it comes to basketball trainers, there are probably a few silhouettes that spring to mind straight away. Something of an underdog in the basketball-turned-lifestyle shoe trend, but one definitely not to be overlooked; it’s the Nike Terminator High. Simply oozing retro, the silhouette follows clean lines, with bold branding to the back of the heel and a construction that would be at home on-court in any decade.
Nike Terminator Low
The low-topped iteration is another option for lovers of b-ball silhouettes, with an upcoming roster soon to be hitting ourselves. Like the high-top counterpart, the shoe is adorned with unmissable branded touches, with suede-rendered and leather options to choose from; not to mention colourways ranging from the loud and proud, to the understated neutral picks.
