Taking place at The Hackney Social on the 13.12.2022, size?sessions returns with another exclusive show that celebrates the release of the adidas Originals NMD_S1. One of adidas’ modern classics, the NMD was first released in 2015 with a launch in New York City. Renowned for their cushioning BOOST sole units, the sock-like fitting NMDs were an absolute success as sneakerheads searched for the next iconic pair.

Fast forward to today, the adidas Originals NMD has new ventures with its ‘S1’ guise that stands for ‘Sneaker 1’. Still maintaining its recognisable Primeknit aesthetic, the adidas Originals NMD strides into the future and we will be celebrating this with our latest size?sessions event. We’ve got an amazing roster of artists joining us, bringing you some of London’s most up-and-coming musicians to one of Hackney’s best venues. So, without further ado – check out the selection that we’ve got for you…

DC

Hailing from Greenwich, South East London, DC dabbles with both anthems and personal topics within his music. His versatility and standout sound have seen him perform at Wireless Festival in London and Birmingham, while his records keep flying out. If you haven’t, be sure to check out singles ‘Neighbourhood’, ‘Tears Sweat Blood’, ‘Paranoia’ and loads more.

Harley Maxwell

Another London-born musician joins the roster – welcoming Harley Maxwell to our Nike NMD S1 event. Hailing from the capital but also a renowned Ibiza resident, Maxwell has performed with the likes of ‘Nightmares on Wax’, and brought in the crowds at Sankey’s Ibiza, Ibiza Rocks and Pikes Hotel. With recent Ibiza shows causing groundwaves around the music scene, Maxwell’s reputation stretches further than London.

Paddy Bars

Paddy Bars is a newcomer that has been revealing glimpses of his talent through a range of freestyles and collaborations, hinting that 2023 is going to be a massive year for the artist. He has links to this roster too, having collaborated with Harley Maxwell and others on the track ‘TYPEBEAT’, certainly getting people excited for his first solo project that lands in the new year. First though – catch him at the adidas NMD S1 event.

Shay D

North London’s Shay D joins this exceptional roster, offering boundary-breaking sounds and female-empowering projects such as her all-female UK tour of 2019 & 2020. Her album Speaking In Tongues managed to rise to the iTunes Top 20 Hip Hop Chart, seeing her name appear in multiple Spotify-own playlists. With shows and Glastonbury and Milan Fashion Week on her CV, Shay D also has numerous radio plays and a track on FIFA 22. The sky is the limit for this artist.
