Now we are travelling to somewhere closer to home – introducing the adidas Originals BC Trainer ‘Seaside Series’ – ?exclusive. Full of nostalgia, this pack features three silhouettes that are time capsules for a lot of us, taking us back to seaside trips and all the memories that came with them.

Chronicling Blackpool, Brighton and Cleethorpes – this is a celebration of seaside tradition and the sentimental fragments that derive from these locations. The Blackpool’s bright colourway nods to the iconic Tower Ballroom, while the Brighton celebrates the pavilion and the Cleethorpes…the local chippy. We didn’t want to bring tribalism into these pairs, but all locations have iconic footballing institutions, so on the second lace tip of each pair there’s a nod to the local team.

First up, we have the Blackpool. Boasting a loud and proud colourway, the yellow and red silhouette commemorates a North West seaside town – Blackpool. Nodding specifically to the iconic Tower Ballroom, this shoe also nods to the local football team on the colouring of the second lace. On the underside of the left tongue, there’s the start of the postcode in shiny gold, while this tone carries onto the lateral sidewall branding. With the staple 3-Stripes, Trefoils and sticky rubber soles, this is a classic adidas silhouette with a fun nod to a celebrated English seaside town.

Next, let’s travel across to Cleethorpes; this BC Trainer nods specifically to the beloved Marklews chippy, a little piece of town heritage with a really striking colourway that’s replicated on the shoe. Soft and furry suede combine on this shoe in classic adidas fashion, plus there’s little snippets like the post code and the second lace tip nods to the local footy team – Cleethorpes Town F.C. Gum soles feature below, and foil labelling delivers an utterly retro look.

Finally, we mooch down south to the City of Brighton for another seaside voyage. Featuring a mix of soft and furry suede, this one comes with the off-white and muted blue colours of the pavilion, while the lace tip of the second lace subtly nods to Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. Paired with light gum soles, they offer a retro look, while shiny golden branding follows the rest of the pack’s aesthetic.
