That’s a wrap. The inaugural size?sessions Festival is now over, and we could just do it all again. A real milestone in the size? history books, size?sessions has evolved into something over the years that we are exceptionally proud of, and this event was the start of a new and exciting venture for the size?.
The connection between sneaker culture and music is unquestionably important, so this event was a gift to the size?community, delivering a concoction of creativity, expression and authenticity. If you enjoyed our first ever festival, all you need to do is hold out and keep them eyes peeled for the next instalment of size?sessions – it’s going to be a blast.
Taking place at the iconic O2 Victoria Warehouse on Saturday 20th August, this seminal venue was the ideal location for a festival – rich in heritage and history, having hosted some of the city’s best events over the years. Supplying Manchester’s revered industrial aesthetic, the festival was split into three rooms and a VIP section.
First up – fit for an all-star headliner – there was Room 1, sponsored by Complex. Alongside this, there was a Jordan x Mixtape Madness-sponsored room and a Berghaus-sponsored one finished the roster. What’s more, for a quick break from the music there was the bright and colourful Homegrown room, filled with chill out zones for people in need of a recharge.
VIP tickets were also on offer for a very reasonable £65, included was 1 x General Admission ticket, exclusive access to the VIP mezzanine bar and balcony overlooking the Main Stage, 1 x free Havana cocktail upon arrival, a Crep Protect shoe cleaning station, plus access to The North Face chillout area – perfect breather from the bustling festival.
From AJ Tracey’s emphatic headline slot to sets from the likes of Nines, Knucks, Miraa May and Comfy – we hosted an array of talent. Also joining the roster was Backroad Gee, Juice Menace, Kennedy Taylor, Tamera, The KTNA, M1llionz, Kwengface, Clavish, Kenny Allstar, JBEE, Arz, Tweeko & Friends and Cristale.
