For our next edition of re-size?, we’ve got something really special for you; we have ventured to Jojo’s General Store in Sheffield and picked out an adidas Originals TRX from 1998. Chosen by you on our Instagram, the draw for this iconic silhouette will be available for ?access members only at £1 per entry.

First let’s introduce you to Jojo’s General Store – you probably won’t need one if you are located in the Steel City. Ran by Jojo Elgarice, this store is located at 553 Ecclesall Road, standing as the city’s go-to destination for rare vintage menswear.

With a reach as far of Japan, this spot offers a very niche selection; think military wear…British sportswear…authentic workwear pieces – Jojo has it and from all the finest menswear label’s you can think of. Additionally, Jojo owns an awe-inducing collection of deadstock vintage sneakers, making this the perfect location to explore for this instalment of re-size? – especially with added knowledge of the heritage surrounding each pair, and every seam that constructs them.

Now for the pair chosen by you on our Instagram – the illustrious adidas Originals TRX (1998). First released in ’78, the adidas Originals TRX was an athletics-focussed design with an outlandish look that stood alone in the vast adi archive. The silhouette was also iconic within women’s trainers too, boasting an exclusive range during the athletics craze of the ‘80s, dubbed the ‘Lady TRX’. Re-released in ’98 in bigger sizes, we’ve managed to get our hands on a pair of these iconic trainers for the next instalment of re-size?.

Boasting a bit of a reverse colourway of the OG, this adidas Originals TRX (1998) features a dazzling yellow on its upper with bold blue accents to offer a look that would turn heads on the terraces. Retro, but still in absolute mint condition, the uppers are formed with reinforced dyed nylon and suede overlays for added protection. With adidas Originals, you know the drill: 3-Stripes, Trefoil logos and lateral sidewall labelling all feature for that formula that continues to deliver. Original running function with bags of streetwear credibility – it’s a 3-Stripe classic.

What’s more, proceeds will be donated to Kidscape, a charity that believes children should grow up safe from bullying and harm in their community. The charity recognises the different environments and methods of bullying, raising awareness of this while identifying the vulnerable groups. Through practical support, training and advice, Kidscape aims to break the cycle of bullying in communities.

The draw for the adidas Originals TRX (1998) opens 01.08.22 and closes 05.08.22. This draw is exclusive to ?access members only; entries will be £1 and proceeds will go to the Kidscape charity. Good luck!
