For our latest Creators Series, we have teamed up with Vans and a group of creators to celebrate the labels Needlework collection. First off, we invited Rosie Anwara to showcase her range of talents. From embroidery, beading, sewing, painting and felting – Rosie’s skills don’t fall short.

For Rosie, it all started with making her own Christmas decorations, following losing all of hers in a fire. These ended up becoming a business, as she started to sell them. A seasonal decoration though, Rosie decided to start creating stuff that could be sold all year round.

For Rosie’s design, she decided to combine her own style with the design on the shoe. The text is all taken from OG Vans shoeboxes from the ‘70s and ‘80s, when Needlework kits were available to buy. The design process included hand-painting the product then using embroidery over the top to finish. Super colourful and detailed, this design is a Vans spectacle.
