London-based grime MC Skepta has had an undeniable influence on UK music and around the globe. Now, he teams up with Nike once again for a new collection, inspired by the process of metamorphosis.

This range explores creative rebirth, something which Skepta has gone through again and again, as he continues to adapt and innovate. Now, one of the focuses for his creative spark is the legendary Air Max Tailwind 5.

The silhouette arrives with a striking ‘Chrome Red’ guise. One of the Air Max greats, the silhouette has a glossy, butterfly wing-inspired design on the upper with purple hues added to the colour pallet.

What’s more, co-branding features on the tongue and staple glossy Swooshes are on the sidewalls. Towards the heel, the trainer takes influence from the thermographic cover art from Ignorance Is Bliss (2019). To finish, there are visible Nike Air units with hues matching with the upper.

The Nike x Skepta Air Max Tailwind 5 ‘Chrome Red’ arrives in men’s and women’s sizes and is priced at £160.
