When we started the size? collections series at the start of lockdown, we never expected the response to be this great. Day in, day out, we’ve been lucky enough to take a look at a whole host of fantastic footwear collections and share the spoils with you.

On this instalment, we’re heading over to France to catch up with one of our own staff, Quentin Dubau. Quentin’s worked over at size? Paris for over three years now, and it’s great to see he’s learnt a thing or two about footwear in the process. Give his collection a look over below…

“This pair of Vans, released in the summer of 2018, is surfing with nostalgia for good old-fashioned sneakers. With its retro style, this variation of upper colours reminds me above all of a lifestyle, freedom and nonchalance specific to California. To me, this is the most beautiful pair of Vans of recent times.”

Nike x Parra Air Max 1 – 2018

“After missing the ‘Amsterdam’ and ‘Cherrywood’, I couldn’t miss this one. I love the ‘Post Pop’ universe of Piet Janssen, made up of ultra-saturated colours and handwriting, inspired by the 60s, and his half-human, half-bird people who are his trademark. I needed one of his Nike Air Max 1s.”

“Designed in the early 1990s by adidas for running, the adidas Cushion revolutionized its segment at the time. It was a top model at the moment from adidas. A real OG pair.”

Nike Air Jordan 1 High ‘Rookie of the Year’ – 2018

“To celebrate the year Michael Jordan received the NBA Rookie of the Year award in 1985, Nike released this Jordan 1. This colour was inspired by the shirt MJ wore at the ceremony. To me, it’s one of the most beautiful pairs of Air Jordan 1 Retro High.”

PSG x Jordan Brand Jersey

“PSG is the first football club to collaborate with Jordan Brand. Jordan, in the world in sneakers, is a legend and as a supporter and subscriber of PSG. This jersey, along with the AJ1 Paris to LA, is one of my favourite outfits to go to the Parc des Princes.”

Off-White x Nike Dunk Low ‘Pine Green’ – 2019

“The Nike Dunk is the pair of the moment. This collab with Off-White was one of the most anticipated pairs of 2019 and to me, one of the most beautiful collabs of 2019. This white/green leather design reminds me of the peak of the Dunk years in 2004/2005.”

Stüssy x Matthew M. Williams x ROA Boots – 2019

“1017 ALYX 9SM creative director Matthew M. Williams joins his friends at Stüssy, and Italian footwear manufacturers Roa, to make black hiking shoes. This decor of fake mud applied by hand and inspired by life is very original. This is my favourite pair at the moment.”
