It’s been 30 years since Micheal Jordan introduced the world to his fifth signature silhouette; it was the ’90-’91 season, the year MJ earned his second MVP award. So to celebrate three decades of an icon, Jordan is treating us to an all-new ‘Top 3’ Air Jordan 5 Retro colourway.

If you take a look at the silhouette’s tongue, you’ll see the three iconic colourway’s titles – ‘Grape,’ ‘Black Metallic’ and ‘Fire Red’ to be specific – embroidered on the inside. And it’s these three palettes that are mixed together to create a fresh, yet somewhat familiar, Air Jordan 5 makeup.

The Tinker Hatfield-designed pair boasts a black hue across its synthetic uppers, serving as a muted base that allows the vibrant hits of purple and red to pop throughout.

On to the sole now, and the pair’s signature, World War II Mustang fighter jet-inspired ‘shark teeth’ pattern still decorates the midsole for a distinctive finish. And by the way, there’es also Air-technology underfoot for shock-absorbing cushioning on and off the basketball courts.
