Pusha T x adidas Originals Ozweego ‘King Push’
Coming full circle, rap luminary Pusha T – who first unveiled adidas Originals’ Ozweego year at Coachella – takes the silhouette into his own hands to produce a duo of “King Push” iterations.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Ozweego let us get you up to speed: touching down at the start of the summer, the model takes adidas’ ‘90s Ozweego 3 runner, retains its same mesh, suede and TPU DNA, and evolves the pair with a streamlined design and innovative tech underfoot.
Now, self-proclaimed monarch King Push takes a step away from music to channel his creative input into the pair, creating two striking styles coined “Mystery Brown” and “Tech Mineral”. The first of the twosome sees the model’s mesh base coated in black, with dark brown hues detailing the heel and sockliner to keep in tune with its moniker, while a striking neon green paints the 3-Stripe branding and translucent TPU cables.
On to the “Tech Mineral”, a deep navy dresses the pair’s mesh and suede uppers and works its way down onto the midsole, with a forest green shade making up the leather tongue. Neon hues are less reserved for this style, only popping up on the 3-Stripes trim, while the cables receive a black coating.
Resting comfortably below, adiPRENE tech sits within the heel of the silhouettes and adiPRENE+ is placed in the forefoot. These cushioning innovations dull the shock and stress that the impact movement places on your feet which helps to minimise the risk of injury. Similarly, a thick EVA midsole provides you with extra padding, while a traction rubber outsole keeps your feet firmly on the ground. And for the finishing touch, a decorative co-branded footbed signs things off nicely.
