With autumn at our doorsteps, you might be thinking about switching up styles for the coming months. To help get you ready for the changeable seasons ahead, we’ll be talking you through some of our women’s selects – and with an assortment of silhouettes from the likes of Vans, Nike, adidas Originals and Saucony, there’s something for just about everyone.
Everyday Favourites
The great thing about these silhouettes is they can be worn with just about anything. Take for example the all-white Superstar ‘80s. The understated style complements a smorgasbord of styles from laid-back chinos to smart suits, while the much-loved Cortez is timeless – not only for its iconic history but also its effortless versatility with all kinds of get-ups. Our picks also include renditions of the Blazer and Vans Anaheim Factory Sid DX. Both of which come dressed in clean suede uppers and smooth black colourways.
Statement Silhouettes
In recent seasons, we’ve seen a lot of brands customise their silhouettes with experimental patterns and materials. Take, for example, these iterations of the Blazer and One Star. The Blazer is adorned in a mix-match of vibrant panelling, while the One Star is reinvented with renewable denim to the uppers. Not only do these styles look good on foot, but their loud designs can also make a plain outfit really stand out.
Retro Runners
With the retro runner trend here to stay, we’ve plucked out some of our favourite vintage styles. The ’94 Saucony Aya (pictured on the top row) was recently revived in its OG form and we’re a big fan of its distinctly ‘90s design. The adidas ZX 4000 (bottom row) features a design which harks back classic ZX models of the ’80s and ’90s. Its clean uppers and chunky profile look great with chinos and tracksuits alike, and its cushioning tech also means the shoe delivers when it comes to comfort.
Originals
Our selects wouldn’t be complete without a mention to a couple of Originals’ casual staples. From the brand’s lengthy line-up, we’ve gone for the recently released Stadt. Its low profile and classic gum rubber outsole make it a smart silhouette ideal for everyday wear. On the list also is our size? Exclusive Marathon TR. The vibrant iteration is made up of comfy suede and mesh up top, while an imposing outsole underfoot is perfect for winter’s slippery surfaces.
