Take a spin on Nike’s record-inspired Air Max 90 “Vinyl”
Nike’s affinity for music-related silhouettes continues this season with the intro of the Air Max 90 Premium ‘Vinyl’ – a homage to DJ hardware.
Air Max has always gone hand in hand with the music scene. You only have to take one look at the ’90s rave scene-inspired Air Max Deluxe or count up the number of grime lyrics that mention 95s to see that there’s an intrinsic marriage between the two that doesn’t seem to waver. And that’s where this vinyl-inspired Air Max 90 steps in.
Mixed with a fusion of breathable mesh and nubuck up top, the pair’s black uppers are offset with turntable lighting-inspired red accents throughout. Textured TPU panelling weaves its way around the mudguard and heel, inspired by the grooves on the records from which the model coins its name.
Keeping you comfy, the tongue’s cut from soft padded leather and continues the musical theme with a record shaped brand patch at the top. Underfoot, Air bubble technology in the midsole provides you with supportive cushioning whether you behind the deck or out in the crowds, with an icy-blue rubber outsole stopping you from slipping when you’re out and about.
Select men’s and women’s sizes of the Nike Air Max 90 Premium ‘Vinyl’ are available online now via size? website and in selected size? priced at £125.
