A$AP Nast has always been a fan of Converse. Growing up the Harlem-born hip-hop luminary would see Chuck Taylor’s on the feet of his neighbourhood’s most influential denizens, and duly, he would don the legendary silhouette himself. This season the A$AP Mob member honours his Converse-induced nostalgia with a seasonal selection inspired by the brands rich heritage and A$AP Nast’s love of the great outdoors.

For the capsule’s footwear of choice, Nast imparts his creative touch on Converse’s Jack Purcell. A bona fide legend, the Purcell was first introduced in 1935 as a badminton shoe. However, by the mid-‘60s it had been adopted a lifestyle shoe, reaching a broader, more diverse range of youthful consumers.

Infusing the shoe with a utilitarian edge, Nast’s modern iteration heightens the Jack’s rubber overlays, adding dimension and durability to the heritage canvas uppers. “The silhouette is functional, durable. It’s intriguing. I wanted to craft a style that could be worn every day,” says Nast. And he’s not wrong. The Jack’s vibrant duo of colourways are distinct and wearable, while an Ortholite insole and a sturdy sole unit ensure everyday comfort and support.

The collection also includes a premium apparel selection, doused in an array of colours and prints. Within the line-up there’s two cotton crew sweatshirts, matching crew sweatpants and an assortment of vintage wordmark tees which features Converse and JP (Jack Purcell) graphic detailing.
