Reebok Classic ’83 Ree-Cut – size? Exclusive
Released in 1983 as part of Reebok’s running collection, the Classic ‘83 was a lightweight performance shoe created to compete with other contemporary brands runners. Original renditions of the Classic were dressed in the same durable, garment leather that first graced the Freestyle high aerobic shoe. Variations on the archetype followed further down the line, and this lightweight version made use of both suede and nylon to once again reduce weight for the wearer.
In this latest size? Exclusive colourway, the Reebok Classic 83 is presented in a vibrant red hue with contrasting cream vector branding on the sidewall. Constructed from a mix of suede and nylon, the Classic 83 also features the original ‘Union Jack’ Reebok logo, which featured on all their footwear pre-1985. A gum outsole sits underfoot, with a mixed traction pattern that varies from that normally found on a traditional Reebok Classic. Furthermore, classic running details or featured throughout to maintain the ‘vintage’ aesthetic, with reflective piping running around the trim of the tongue and around the heel, and an archival size tag displayed within the lining.
