adidas Originals EQT Creator Studio
In the build up to the launch of the all new EQT Cushion ADV, adidas Originals took over the incredible Victoria House space in Holborn, London to host a series of creative workshops over the course of a week. The sessions tapped into all areas of stripped back creativity from music making using analogue synths, to an educational talk on process from esteemed fashion image maker Nick Knight.
The ever present theme of each event was essentialism, taking things back to basics and only making use of what is essential, the core mantra of the EQT since it’s beginning in 1991. Referencing the past as much as the future, the space also held a museum style timeline looking back at the development of the running aspect of EQT over the years, taking a closer look at some of the more abstract shapes that made the line as famed as it became.
The EQT Cushion ADV is another evolutionary form of the Equipment line, following on from the arrival of the EQT 91/17 at the beginning of the year. These latest renditions take the essential DNA from the originals and update them with more up to date forms, the latest technology, and new and inventive colour identities.
