Tyler, The Creator x Converse One Star ‘Golf le Fleur’
After many rumours circulating the internet around Tyler, The Creators next entrepreneurial move, it’s through this latest collaboration with Converse that he’s cemented a relationship with the brand. Coinciding with his latest musical release, ‘Flower Boy’ comes a four shoe pack that nods to the album. It first made a brief appearance in his latest self-directed video for ‘Who Dat Boy’ and the ‘911/Mr Lonely’ interlude, but they were so subtly included you may have missed them if you blinked.
Reflective of Tylers output through his own Odd Future clothing line and anything he puts his mind to, the palette is pretty vibrant. Consisting of Airway Blue, Fuschia Glow, Peach Pearl and Sulphur Yellow colourways, each pair from the pack is detailed with subtle details that pay homage to the album. The One Star’s iconic brand insignia on the sidewall is surrounded by the warped outline of an embroidered flower, while Tylers lyrics warp around the top of the vulcanised midsole unit.
Graphic interpretations of the Bee’s from the album artwork sit on the heel panel, and debossed ‘Golf le Fleur’ branding sits on the tongue. It’s a great start to the partnership, and looking forward to seeing over time how it will evolve with future releases through the brand.
All four colours of the Tyler, The Creator x Converse One Star ‘Golf le Fleur’ will be available online and in selected size? stores on Thursday August 3rd, priced at £80.
