Nike Air Max 95 DW Launch Event Recap

In preparation for the launch of the exclusive Air Max 95 DW at size? this weekend, we headed down to our Carnaby Street store for a meet and greet event with Dave White and offer attendees the chance to check out the shoes in person and win a limited edition piece of artwork. Thanks to Dave White, Nike, Rosie Lee, XYZ, Diageo for the beverages, and our size? Carnaby Street staff that helped out on the night.

11 years after our first event together held in the same store (visually different after last years renovations) we welcomed Dave back for a relaxed event where people were able to talk to him personally about his work and the inspirations that lay behind the graphics applied to the shoe.

Upon entering, each attendee was also given a raffle ticket which would allow them the chance to win one of two gold leaf embellished versions of the fox and hare artwork. Coming from an extremely limited print run, these artworks are rarities in themselves, and the chance to own one without purchasing is even rarer! Adding to this, the chance to purchase pairs before everyone else was an extra bonus for those who’d been excited about the release since we first teased it last month.

Dave was more than happy to sign boxes, pairs of each Albion colourway, and even shoes and jackets from the original 2005 pack. It was great to see collectors and fans of Dave’s artwork alike come along who were fortunate enough (or old enough!) to have attended the last couple events we’d held for the Wet Paint collection.
