PUMA Suede Season – AJ Tracey

To introduce the classic Suede to a new generation, PUMA have created an exclusive series of short films for us with a selection of UK creatives entitled ‘Suede Season’. Kicking off the mini-series, PUMA met up with grime MC AJ Tracey to follow him around his home area of Ladbroke Grove, and find out where he draws inspiration from when writing lyrics. With grime rapidly gaining momentum and recognition as a valid musical genre on a worldwide scale, there are a slew of new MC’s coming up through the ranks, each with their own individual style.

The film takes us to AJ’s local area, through various spots where he grew up, began learning about grime and eventually started putting pen to paper himself. With two EP’s under his belt, AJ’s helping lead the way for a new generation of artists to come through.

Our Suede activity this year begins with this size? Exclusive material story on three versions of the B-Boy classic. The running theme throughout the pack is the premium hairy suede used across the entirety of the shoe, we’re big fans of the material here at size? so it’s great to see it applied to a classic shoe in such a considered way.

All of the usual branded aspects are still present, and have been included using a sleeker, flat suede. Each of the black and grey pairs are finished off with the signature gold foil cat on the lateral side, with the leaping cat let loose on the heel.

Both colourways of the size? Exclusive PUMA Suede ‘Wooly’ will be available online and in selected size? stores on Friday 5th August, priced at £62.

Sitting alongside the mens colourways, there’s also a much fairer shade created for the ladies. Dressed in the same hairy suede as the rest of the pack, a light ‘birch’ colourway has been used instead of the charcoal tones on the male options, with off white flat suede panels featured on the formstripe, eyestays and tongue patch.
