adidas Originals X HYKE

Returning for its second season of partnership, Japanese label HYKE come together in collaboration with adidas Originals for a collection of apparel and footwear. With an eccentric yet minimal approach towards silhouetting, designers Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Ode have created a collection referencing the look and texture of sports apparel, reinterpreted into modern, more feminised shapes. The range includes reconsidered versions of the nylon windbreaker, a modernised version of a classic adidas trackuit top,wrap skirts and culottes. Each piece has been coloured up in either a deep navy or off-white with minimal branding across the board, drawing your eye purely towards the garments shape on the wearer.

Sitting alongside the apparel, HYKE have applied the same aesthetic to the adidas Originals Equipment Racing and Micropacer, stripping back their original brighter shades into much cleaner renditions that use the same palette as their textile associates.
