Red Bull Island Hopping: Malé

For Red Bull’s Island Hopping series, their skate team take on some of the most remote islands in the world.

Malé is the magical capital of an incredible chain of islands floating a few hours south of India in the Indian Ocean.

It also happens to be on one of the most densely-populated islands in the world. Over 150,000 people inhabit an island that is 5.8km squared (2.2 square miles).

It’s an exhaustingly beautiful urban jungle, one minute you’re speeding down small alleyways on a scooter, the next you’re staring off into the sunset where there isn’t another person for hundreds of miles.
