PUMA x Alife Collection: Part II
This PUMA footwear and apparel collection picks up where the collaboration left off in 2007, showcasing downtown NYC culture from which it was born. Alife have picked three themes related to them as a brand, from their famous in-store ‘fish tank’ to the ever-growing Alife Sessions.
Part two of the PUMA x Alife Collection releases online this coming Saturday (2nd May) at 8:00am BST via direct links on our Facebook and Twitter pages and in size? stores from their respective opening times.
Alife Sessions
What started out as a get-together for ALIFE’s friends and families has become a staple event in New Yorkers’ social calendars. The sessions have since broke out of the store’s back yard, spreading across the world, showcasing the talents of artists such as Drake and Raekwon.
This capsule collection pays homage to the ALIFE sessions with classics t-shirts and one of the best interpretations of the classic Blaze Of Glory OG. A rich black mix of suede, leather and mesh offers a contrasting canvas for the primary colour pops. The ALIFE branding is carried on the heel-pull, aglets, Trinomic river on the sole and on the lining.
Fish Scale
Heading up this range is a refix of a b-boy favourite, the Savannah tracksuit top. ALIFE’s spin on a classic features a reflective repeat pattern inspired by the scales found on the piranhas in the New York store’s fish tank. The pattern continues over matching tracksuit bottoms and tee. Another pattern synonymous with ALIFE is the ‘Stuck up’ repeat logo print. This is used along the midsole of the R698, another classic ‘90s runner from PUMA.
Fish Tank
The iconic fish tank in the New York store serves as inspiration for this bold capsule collection. The hungry piranhas attacking the ALIFE sweater are applied across a crew sweat, tee and shorts. The classic ‘90s Disc in green with a photoprint insole completes the range.
