Following on from the size? HQ’s Shoe of the Year 2014 feature last week, we’ve asked some friends of size? their verdicts too. From resurrecting retro’s to unveiling unknowns, all silhouettes past and present feature.

“Chose these over Gazelle OG’s and the black Superstar II in Spring and have been wearing them constantly ever since. Such a classic shoe and a perfect fit, in fact I think I prefer it to the classic Stan Smith silhouette. Now I somehow need to get my hands on the all white pair.”

“I bought these back in January and now have three more colourways. Like the Campus 80s, the silhouette and flat sole go perfectly with every cut of trouser, something which a lot of sneakers can’t do. They also take me back to my childhood, I remember rocking shell toes in the playground.”

“I tend to like two types of sneaker: classic, stripped back and monochrome, or so ugly they’re kinda great. 95’s are one of those. I know they’re ugly, but there’s just something about them that I love. I opted for the all black pair.”

“I wouldn’t normally go for a sneaker like this, but after owning the EQT Running Support 93s I warmed to the chunkier silhouette. I wore these to death this summer, and now have the black/blue/zebra colourway. Not to be worn in winter though. Unfortunately I learnt the hard way. Keeping them in their box until it gets a bit warmer.”
