A Welcome Return for the Converse Weapon Mid

This week sees the return of the Converse Weapon Mid to our shelves, arguably one of the most iconic, influential basketball silhouettes of all time. Tasked with naming some of the all time basketball greats, both Magic Johnson and Larry Bird are sure to feature; each of them also lived by the Converse Weapon.

Until Nike and Tinker Hatfield made Michael Jordan an offer he couldn’t refuse of his own silhouette, he also played in Converse too. Its name, conveyed a real sense of power, offered a healthy alternative to Nike’s Dunk, allowing for greater traction and pressure with their ankle support and shock absorbing midsole.
