Introducing: FARAH 1920
This Autumn/Winter’14 Farah 1920 takes inspiration from folkloric craftsmanship of Balkan and South American origin, whilst keeping strong ties to Farah’s own rich heritage.
Outerwear is a combination of military inspired styles sitting alongside classically tailored pieces, including ‘The Kenneth’ flight jacket with quilted lining and ‘The Ginsberg’, a modern interpretation of the US Field Jacket with button-out flannel lining.
AW’14 sees an emphasis towards smarter, warmer more traditional fabrics including herringbone twill and wool Melton, which sit side by side a range of distinct Ikat weaves and tribal jacquards.
Jersey becomes a winter staple with the introduction of densely knitted long sleeve t-shirts in variegated stripes, plains and tapestry inspired prints. Working as the perfect accompaniment to denim, or alternatively as a layering piece under a wool shirt.
Back by popular demand is 1920’s acclaimed range of indigo dyed items, which for AW14 has been extended to include, shirts, blazers, sweatshirts and tees. The indigo process – so popular on denim has been adapted for use on across the categories.
AW’14 palette is opulent and bold with blazing reds and smokey oranges paired with dusty black and charcoal. Green and olive reflects the military influence, while blues reach deeper this season with navy and indigo blue sitting beside turquoise, slate and crystal.
The collection will be available online and in selected stores over the next few weeks.
