Following on from the recent Post Modern inspired ‘pomo Pack’, we present the next addition to our prestigious Select Collection collaboration series with adidas Originals in the form of the ZX500 ‘Kahakai Pack’.

Taken from the native Hawaiian language of Ōlelo Hawaiʻi, Kahakai is a literal translation of the word ‘beach’ and is a fitting name choice for this release. Both colourways feature soft tonal suede panelling & floral print patterns inspired by Hawaii’s State flower; the Yellow Hibiscus, and the Big Island’s flower; the Ohia Lehua.

As well as incorporating the island’s vivacious natural offering, the shoes also feature a footbed that represents the age-old tradition of Lauhala weaving. Typically created using the leaves of the hala tree – an icon of great cultural and economical importance to many in the Pacific Islands – the woven constructions are used for baskets, hats and sleeping mats, providing a perfect base for these exclusive models.
