Nike SB ‘Hacky Sack’ Pack
For the latest collection from Nike’s famed SB division, comes the ‘Hacky Sack’ pack, featuring the Zoom Stefan Janoski, Eric Koston’s first signature Nike SB model, the iconic Dunk High and Low, and finally the newly created Project BA.
While on the streets of Tokyo, the Nike SB designers came across a piece of fabric that reminded them of hacky sacks, a woven footbag that were popular during the 1980s. Although footbags and skateboarding might not seem like an obvious pairing, during the late 80s and early 90s, these little multi-coloured beanbags were used by skate shop employees when business was slow
Utilising the famed woven patterns of that time, each of the five models receive several well-defined and colourful options that are complimented with black overlays to balance out the shoe in its entirety. The vibrant printed fabric uppers inspired by the hacky sacks are presented alongside gum-infused outsoles and tan canvas accents that bring all the separate silhouettes together.
