First released back in 1988, the Nike Air Revolution launched with a look seen on no other basketball shoe. The first trainer built for the hardwood that contained visible air. The aesthetics of this shoe are everything great about 80s sports shoe design; high rising support, ankle straps, clean bold branding and with just the right amount of bulk. Originally down as Michael Jordan’s third signature shoe before amendments were made and the Jordan III was born, the Air Revolution still shares a sole unit. There are no bones about it, the Nike Air Revolution made waves when it arrived and its back.
To celebrate 25 years since it was first laced up, Nike re-releases the Air Revolution in one of the original and best colourways of white/wolf grey/black. Using premium tumbled leather on the upper, the finished product is a great tribute to the quarter-of-a-century-old original.
