For over 20 years, Eric Koston has been a street skate legend, skateboarding visionary and all-round innovator, and to celebrate this Nike presents us with the Koston 2. Inspired by Eric’s curiosity into the Lunarglide+ running series, the new silhouette has an increased amount of support and breathability, with advanced technical aspects throughout the shoe. A union of durability and style, merging skate shoe needs with running shoe insights.

Compared to the Koston 1, it looks completely different with a stripped back toebox, simplistic-looking cupsole, mesh panelling around the heel and what seems like non-existent heel cushioning. The entire design of the shoe has been redesigned from the first model, and with the Lunarlon sole being the basis, Eric and the Nike designers made sure that everything was covered, from the hidden heel counter and inner sock liner to the mid-quarter ventilation.

With the massive success of the Koston 1, we can only expect good things from this new state-of-the-art skate sequel, and even though it initially looks a bit like a brogue shoe, we love it and back it all the way.
