Nike Air Jordan XIV Retro
Originally released on general sale in 1999, the Air Jordan XIV (14) was the last model MJ wore on the courts before his retirement from the Chicago Bulls on 13th January 1999 and is perhaps best know as the shoe Michael wore scoring the ‘last shot’ against the Utah Jazz to clinch the 1997/98 title and the Bulls 6th championship in 8 years.
For the original black/black varsity-red colourway top Nike designers Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith drew inspiration from Michaels Ferrari 550M to create (at the time) one of the most iconic releases from the Jordan Brand catalogue.
The XIV was the first of three consecutive Jordan models to feature metal lace aglets (lace tips) and the first to begin a trend of having a number of features that would count to the models number (each foot of the XIV features 7 Jumpman logos).
New for AW11, Jordan Brand release this light graphite/mid navy-black-white colourway which will be available in limited numbers from size? stores and online this Saturday (8th October).
