adidas Originals EQT Support Mid

Continuing to evolve the form of the much loved Equipment range to fit in with the modern day, adidas have taken strands of the DNA from 1991’s collection and created the new EQT Mid. A full primeknit upper sits on top of a lightweight midsole that harks back to those found on the original icons.

At the beginning of 2017, adidas Originals began rolling out their new-look Equipment range, calling upon some of the best original silhouettes from the frist 1991 range and re-energising them with lighter, innovative materials and the latest in comfort technology. Running was always one of the core disciplines covered off by Equipment, with the Support, Running, and Guidance models were always favourites amongst the function orientated line. Consideration for performance always sat at the top of the list, and Peter Moore’s vision carried over into basketball, football, and even further afield.

The third new incarnation of the line, the EQT Support Mid, references the Riemen system found on the older models; this saw the stripes acting not only as design features, but as functional details to keep your foot locked down inside the shoe. This OG Sub Green colourway combined together with the white & black, harks back to the palette first found within the range, and worked as a continuing theme across the entire range of footwear, apparel, and athletic equipment. This new rendition see’s the upper overhauled with a full primeknit weave, with the panels normally found on a leather or suede shoe integrated into the knitted pattern.

The adidas Equipment EQT Support Mid will be available online and in all size? stores on Thursday 8th February, priced at £130.
