PUMA Rainbow OG – size? Exclusive

Share This:

Following on from our reintroduction of the Fast Rider earlier in the year, we’re excited to bring back another classic runner from the archive that hasn’t seen the light of day for a good few years, the PUMA Rainbow OG. We gave you a quick glimpse in our June episode of size? Previews, but here’s a bit more of a closer look at both colourways. Visually different to it’s counterparts, the Rainbow is a definite move on from both Fast Rider and Easy Rider in terms of technology, and fits more of the streamlined, lightweight profile you’d associate with a classic road running shoe.

The upper makes use of the tried and true combination of mesh and nubuck, with a visible gradient running across each sidewall. Interestingly, the bulk of the nylon upper is formed using a single panel that wraps around the toebox and finishes at the rear, sealed by a plastic heel counter to improve foot stability.

One of Puma’s great strength’s with product is the attention to detail when reissuing retro items, making use of their extensive archive to reference the original shoes for accuracy.

Both colourways of the size? Exclusive PUMA Rainbow OG will be available online and in size? stores on Friday 7th July, priced at £70.
